	Soldering Joining of metallic parts by melting and resolidifying of metals or metalalloys, so-called solders. As the solder’s melting point is lower thanthat of the parts to be connected, the latter do not melt duringsoldering (in contrast to welding). Usually, the solder is applied with aflux material to remove oxide layers. If necessary, soldering is doneunder inert gas.
