PVC
Polyvinyl chloride, cheap amorphous thermoplastic polymer which isproduced in large scale. Good resistance against acids, bases, radiation,nonpolar solvents and most oxidating agents. Hard PVC (withoutplasticizer) is not inflammatory, the heat stability of PVC is low. Theadhesion of coatings on PVC can be substantially enhanced by plasmatreatment, however, detrimental effects caused by the plasticizers arepossible and highly corrosive chlorine radicals are formed.
