	Polyolefins Collective designation for polymers produced from olefins by radicalpolymerization. Examples are PE, PP, PB, PIB, etc.A common property ofpolyolefins is the lack of any functional group leading to a lowpolarity, which leads to a poor adhesion of coatings on untreatedpolyolefins. The adhesion of most coatings on polyolefins can besubstantially enhanced by plasma treatment, usually employing oxygen asprocess gas.
