	Glass Material produced by the complete fusion of raw materials at hightemperature into a homogeneous liquid which is then cooled to a rigidcondition, essentially without crystallization. The designation glassused to be reserved to inorganic products, nowadays, materials likeacrylic glass or glass-like solidified organic media (matrixes) aredesignated organic glasses. From the technical point of view, thenon-metallic product glass is defined as a homogeneous, non-crystalline,brittle solid of high transparency, low thermal and electricalconductivity, high resistance against air, water and most liquids, andgood plasticity at higher temperature.
