	GDOS Glow Discharge Optical Spectroscopy, surface analytical method for thicklayers. In A DC plasma, the sample acts as the cathode and is beingevaporated. Collisions between the evaporated atoms and the plasma gas(Ar) give rise to characteristic emissions from the former layer atoms.
